Krafla Field Development Project: Value creation, innovation and collaboration

The Krafla Field is located in the NOAKA area, North Of Alvheim, Krafla, Askja, in the North Sea. Equinor is the operator of the Krafla Field and in parallel Aker BP is developing the NOA fields. The NOAKA area has currently no infrastructure and the two mega projects will add significant values to the owners and the society. Further the new infrastructure will unlock additional recoverable reserves in the areas around the NOAKA fields. All new facilities in the area will have power from shore and energy efficient concept solutions. In addition, the Krafla field will be complete remote operated from an onshore operation centre. The Krafla Field Development project will require high level of field autonomy and reliable concept solutions to secure safety, operability and value.
